Sometimes electronics just wear out. I have a 2010 Ford and my backup camera's view is very fuzzy/foggy. It's gotten progressively fuzzier over the years, despite attempts to polish the lens. Occasionally it also gets horizontal lines across the screen. It works well enough for parallel parking, but it's definitely not as good as it was when it was new.
