Act if there are any violations: KTR - The HinduPublished - September 20, 2026 12:31 am IST - HYDERABADHYDERABADWorking president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) K.T. Rama Rao has demanded that the government give the Palamuru (combined Mahabubnagar) district its judicious share in Krishna water by operating all pumps of Kalwakurthy, Bhima, Nettempadu, Koilsagar and Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Schemes and to the ayacut under Jurala project.Speaking to newspersons at Pebbair in Wanaparthy district on Saturday, he said the BRS would take to the streets if the government continued its negligence on giving water to Palamuru. Reacting to the survey of lands at Erravelli in Siddipet district and Janwada in Rangareddy district, he stated that the Congress party was in power it could take action against them (BRS leaders) in case it was found that they had committed any irregularity by explaining it to people.On the High Court judgement disqualifying Danam Nagender as Khairatabad MLA for contesting Secunderabad Lok Sabha election on Congress ticket after getting elected to the Assembly on BRS ticket, he requested the court to disqualify other MLAs defected from BRS to Congress for joining the Congress party publicly.On the defection of Congress MLAs to BRS in the past, he said the process of merger had taken place as per the constitutional (Anti-Defection Law) provisions. Now the High Court verdict had faulted the Speaker’s decision of giving a clean chit to the defected BRS MLA Nagender and the yardstick be applied to other defected MLAs to disqualify them.Published - September 20, 2026 12:31 am ISTSign in to unlock member-only benefits!Access 10 free stories every monthSave stories to read laterAccess to comment on every storySign-up/manage your newsletter subscriptions with a single clickGet notified by email for early access to discounts & offers on our products${ ind + 1 } ${ device }Last active - ${ la }
