St. George’s Square will be buzzing with activity on Thursday, September 24th, as the Cancer Research and Innovation Hub Malta brings its Show Your Face / Uri Wiċċek campaign to Valletta for a big public event to celebrate World Cancer Research Day.This is no ordinary awareness campaign.Starting from 6.00 pm onwards, the square will become the location of a night full of live music, celebrity Maltese guests and international stars, while Jon & Jo from S Club will be the headliners, alongside American singer-songwriter and three-time cancer survivor Bianca Muniz. Many Maltese artists will participate in the event, with the premiering of the original song “Tama” by Owen Leuellen and Maxine Pace, written and performed for this occasion. The evening festivities will continue with DJ Tenishia till 11.00 pm.However, the most interesting part of the event will not involve any live performances.CRIHM invites the public to join in an attempt to form a new national record by creating a massive human cancer ribbon at the event, bringing a powerful message of hope, to stand together for cancer research.People can also take photos to put their faces on the Wall of Faces of people standing for cancer research. In addition, there will be several cancer organisations and NGOs to showcase their services and CRIHM’s Mobile Unit with free health checks.Entrance to the event is free.So make sure to get in touch with your friends and family and go to St. George’s Square on September 24th.Share this with a friend to join this cause and show your faces for cancer research.•
