Welcome to another episode of the Arsecast – the original Arsenal podcast. In this episode I’m joined by Ryan Hunn from Stadio to chat about Arsenal’s 4-2 win over Ipswich in the Carabao Cup. We start with Max Dowman’s two goal contribution, but before we get into the nuts and bolts of his performance, there’s discussion of how Arsenal have to manage a 16 year old such talent and potential, then there’s the good stuff, in particular his first goal. There was also another very impressive teenage performance in the shape of Marli Salmon, and we talk about the context of that display at the heart of the defence with lots of moving pieces around him. After that, we focus on some of the senior players which is a bit more of a mixed bag, with focus on Eberechi Eze and Viktor Gyokeres, and more besides. Here’s today’s blog on Viktor Gyokeres: https://arseblog.com/2026/09/the-gyokeres-conversations-will-continue/ Get extra bonus content and help support Arseblog by becoming an Arseblog Member on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/arseblog If you are a regular listener via iTunes, if you would be so kind as to leave a review/rating that would be greatly appreciated.
