Police file case against TVK member, five others for demanding ‘protection money’ from gas agency - The HinduPublished - September 21, 2026 12:08 am IST - ChennaiThe Rajamangalam Police have filed a case against a 31-year-old TVK worker and five others for demanding money and preventing an underground gas pipeline project to be executed in Kolathur on Saturday. Police said N. Dileep, a resident of West Mada Street of Kolathur, has more than seven petty cases. Dileep who is also a member of the TVK party had been harassing the workers executing the underground pipeline project of a private gas agency for more than a fortnight by going with a gang of six persons demanding protection money.On Saturday night, the same gang led by Dileep and five others came to the work place at Lakshmi Amman Koil Street of Kolathur, and asked for money or threatened to stop the work.
