A rare 1983 Macintosh prototype, which Steve Jobs ordered destroyed, recently sold for $150,075. This early computer featured an unreliable floppy disk drive called "Twiggy" which caused many issues. Engineers secretly switched to a more durable Sony drive, hiding the transition from Jobs. Two of these prototypes survived and were later restored to working order. Their survival and subsequent auction highlight a significant, hidden chapter of Apple's history.
