Gainesway Farm's Sherri Ivanovich has been named the Kentucky Thoroughbred Farm Managers' Club (KTFMC) 2026 Ted Bates Farm Manager of the Year and will be honored at the annual KTFMC Dinner Dance on Friday, Dec. 4.“As the president of the Kentucky Thoroughbred Farm Managers' Club,” said KTFMC President John Rasmussen, “I am delighted to see that Sherri is selected as the 2026 Ted Bates Farm Manager of the Year. I have watched and worked with her over the years as she worked her way up the ranks at Gainesway Farm. She is a tremendous asset to the Thoroughbred community.”A part of the Thoroughbred industry since 1984, beginning at Kentucky farms before moving to the racetrack, primarily for trainer Kenny McPeek, Ivanovich eventually joined Graves Stables (later 505 Farms), where she worked closely with mentor Bill Graves. In 2002, she became Gainesway's assistant yearling manager, then yearling manager, and finally farm manager in 2021.“I have worked with Sherri for over 30 years, and she is the epitome of hard work, horsemanship, and dedication,” said Brian Graves, son of Bill Graves and general manager of Gainesway.  “A great deal of any success we have had at Gainesway is a direct result of Sherri's effort, commitment to excellence, and leadership. There is no one more deserving of being honored as Farm Manager of the Year.”Antony Beck, Chairman of Gainesway, added: “Sherri has been an integral part of the Gainesway family for 25 years, and her knowledge, expertise, and tireless work ethic set the standard for our entire operation. We are thrilled to see her recognized with this well-deserved honor by her peers in the Kentucky Thoroughbred community.”Ivanovich lives at Gainesway with her husband, Eric. She is mother to sons Justin and Patrick and daughter Amanda, with her fourth grandchild on the way.“I am deeply honored and humbled to be selected by the Kentucky Thoroughbred Farm Managers' Club for this prestigious award,” said Ivanovich. “To be named alongside so many legendary horsemen and horsewomen whom I have respected throughout my career is truly special.  This award is a reflection of the hard-working team at Gainesway, and I am grateful to work alongside such dedicated people every day.”The post Sherri Ivanovich Named 2026 Ted Bates Farm Manager of the Year appeared first on TDN | Thoroughbred Daily News | Horse Racing News, Results and Video | Thoroughbred Breeding and Auctions.
