A full-brother (hip 351) to the much talked-about Powerline (Flightline) sold Tuesday on a final bid of $2.6-million to Flying Dutchmen.First dam Park Avenue, a stakes winner and graded stakes placed, was purchased by Summer Wind Equine for $1.45-million as a broodmare from the 2022 Keeneland November Sale. She produced Powerline, a $1.8-million Fasig-Tipton Saratoga yearling of 2025, as her first foal. This colt, bred by Summer Wind Equine and Sarah S. Farish, was consigned by Lane's End as agent.“I didn't expect [the price] to go quite that high,” said Summer Wind's Jane Lyon. “Of course, being my horses, I thought they were worth anything and everything. But we were very, very happy. We knew we had a lot of people interested in [him]. A lot of the stallions that we breed to, I have a history with, not having necessarily bred and raised, but Flightline is very special and I always said in the beginning [that] he was a gift. I didn't do anything different than anyone else does. And he has certainly been that and it's fulfilling to me.”The post Flying Dutchmen Secure Flightline Colt For $2.6-Million appeared first on TDN | Thoroughbred Daily News | Horse Racing News, Results and Video | Thoroughbred Breeding and Auctions.
