A new television anime adaptation of Tetsu Kariya's Oshinbo manga, titled Shin Oishinbo was announced at the Shin-Ei Animation 50th Anniversary special stage at ABEMA Anime Festival 2026 on Saturday, revealing the announcement promotional video. Kariya began writing Oishinbo in Shogakukan's Big Comic Spirits magazine in 1983, featuring art by Akira Hanazaki. Shogakukan published the 111th and latest volume in December 2014.
