I have asked GPT by carrier pigeon for the basics of marketing and have had one of our village elders (who understands the strange symbols on the scrolls the carrier pigeons bring) explain its answers. The same elder also found three waterlogged chapters of a book on copywriting from 1972 and read it to me. She is also writing this down on a scroll for the carrier pigeon (I hope she's writing it down exactly as I say!). Anyway, after this level of preparation, I feel pretty set on entering this career. I'd like some advice on how to best break in to the agency side when my CV is pretty thin. Do you think a spec portfolio would help? Do I need to disclose that I had an elder help me to scribe the runes (or whatever they're called, this isn't really my thing haha) onto the spec ads? Does anyone have good advice on what inks I can use to make sure the portfolio images still look good after three day pigeon journey?
