An 18-year-old man is at risk of dying after falling around four storeys while carrying out works at an apartment block in St Julian’s this afternoon.Police were informed of the incident at around 2.30pm in Triq Forrest.Initial investigations found that the Syrian man, who lives in Santa Venera, fell approximately four storeys into the common area of the apartment block while carrying out works.Civil Protection Department personnel and a medical team were called to the scene, while an ambulance rushed the teenager to Mater Dei Hospital.He was subsequently certified as having suffered serious injuries.Magistrate Renata Farrugia has opened an inquiry, while investigations by the police, the Occupational Health and Safety Authority and the Building and Construction Authority remain ongoing.•
