As far as Premier League teams go, Ipswich Town is certainly one that I don't mind having drawn. It gets even better when you look at that the Liverpool vs Tottenham game. Something something 'stoppable force meets movable object' something something... We were the runners up of this competition following a tepid performance in the final against Man City. In hindsight after our league triumph, this isn't something we rue all that much. But having not won the damn thing for over 30 years, bringing the trophy back to North London would have been nice. Our deep squad gives us a lot of options in terms of rotation for this game. I expect Raya to get a rest, as well as the likes of Odegaard, Rice, Saka, and Havertz. Unless Salmon gets a start, I doubt we'll see much in terms of rotation at the back. Timber needs minutes in his legs to get back up to speed, and Mosquera is still in doubt. Hincapie will likely come in at left back, but I think Gabriel and Konsa will continue in front of either Kepa or Messlier (I know who I'd prefer...). Ipswich have had a pretty tough start to their season with a visit to Old Trafford ending 5-2 and Liverpool coming to Suffolk and beating them 0-2. These losses were sandwiched by victories against Sunderland (we know how hard that can be) and Crystal Palace, leaving them slap bang in the middle of the league.
