The Spurs boss explained why having so many quality players at his disposal can make picking his starting XI challenging, while also insisting that he is fortunate to have such a strong squad.Speaking to the official Tottenham channels about team selection, the Spurs boss said: “The team selection is not difficult because I am lucky to have these players. “I am convinced of the qualities of the players. It is difficult because there are many good players but not for the other (suggested) problems.”De Zerbi reveals Carabao Cup selection plansDe Zerbi had stated earlier, following the Everton game, that there was set to be rotation on Tuesday against Liverpool. In his own words, Tottenham are expected to turn to the “other players”, and now he has explained what he means by that. With the Carabao Cup providing an opportunity for squad rotation, De Zerbi has pointed towards players who have not featured as much, while highlighting the strength of his options in central defence. He said: “I think Lucas Bergvall is not other players. Mathys Tel also. And then we have to analyse the other players. Maybe the players that didn’t play enough. “I am lucky because in central defence I have JP van Hecke and Micky van de Ven, two top players, but also Ben Davies, Marcos Senesi and Tosin are not less than van Hecke and Van de Ven.”De Zerbi also made it clear that, despite the expected changes to his team, he wants Tottenham to approach the Carabao Cup with the same mentality they have shown in the Premier League.“I would like to play with the same attitude as in the Premier League. The attitude and spirit the same.”READ MORE: Watch Tottenham starlet Oliver Irow score wonder goal in the first minuteThe post Roberto De Zerbi hints at five players who could start for Tottenham vs Liverpool appeared first on Spurs Web.
