The civic body cleared 697 encroachments from 17 road stretches while lifting around 114 tonnes of green waste from 31 locations as part of its monsoon preparedness measures.The Serilingampally Zone recorded the highest number of removals, clearing 292 encroachments along five stretches spanning 18 km. The drive covered Pipe Line Road in Narsingi, Radial Road-30 in Tellapur, Beeramguda Main Road in Ameenpur, NH-65 at Chandanagar in Miyapur and Botanical Garden Road in Serilingampally.The Quthbullapur Zone recorded the removal of 265 encroachments from eight road stretches covering 8.45 km. The operation covered Ranga Nagar Main Road and Jagathgirigutta Main Road in Chintal, Suchitra X Road in Jeedimetla, Quthbullapur X Road in Kompally, Devender Nagar Road in Gajularamaram, Pragathi Nagar Road in Nizampet, the ORR Service Road in Dundigal and Medchal Main Road in Medchal.In the Kukatpally Zone, officials removed 140 encroachments across four stretches covering 5.9 km. The drive was carried out on HUDA Mayuri Road in Madhapur, Pipe Line Road in Allwyn Colony, BSNL Lane in Kukatpally, and Don Bosco Road and P.R. Nagar Road in Moosapet.Simultaneously, the civic body carried out a special green waste lifting drive. The exercise, undertaken jointly by the Urban Biodiversity (UBD) and Sanitation wings, focused on the prompt removal of branches, leaves and other green waste generated during tree pruning and maintenance activities to prevent storm water drains from getting clogged during the monsoon.The Serilingampally Zone recorded the highest green waste clearance, with around 51 tonnes removed from 13 locations through 17 vehicle loads. The zone covered Narsingi, Patancheru, Ameenpur, Miyapur and Serilingampally.In the Quthbullapur Zone, civic teams cleared approximately 45 tonnes of green waste from 12 locations, transporting it in 15 loads. The operation covered Chintal, Jeedimetla, Gajularamaram, Nizampet and Medchal.The Kukatpally Zone accounted for the removal of around 18 tonnes of green waste from six locations through six loads.
