(@abc7newsbayarea / X screen shot)After more than two years, a San Francisco jury finally delivered some accountability to seven radical anti-Israel agitators who deliberately shut down the iconic Golden Gate Bridge during rush hour on April 15, 2024, trapping hundreds of innocent commuters for hours in what can only be described as a coordinated act of public endangerment. The jury convicted each of the seven defendants on six misdemeanor counts, including false imprisonment, obstruction of a thoroughfare, and unlawful assembly. San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins announced the verdict on July 2.However, in a move that will shock no one familiar with the two-tiered justice system in Democrat-run cities, the jury deadlocked on the more serious felony conspiracy charge. A mistrial was declared on that count and one additional misdemeanor trespass charge.More on The San Francisco Standard:Jurors initially said they were “hopelessly” deadlocked on a few of the counts before Judge Teresa Caffese sent them to deliberate further. A little less than two hours later, they returned to the courtroom with the verdict. When Caffese asked about the split on the deadlocked charges, a foreman said the jury hung 10-to-2 in favor of guilt for conspiracy, but 11-to-1 against guilt for trespassing. As the judge thanked the jury for their service, she noted that “sometimes we question the role of law, but you know, it works, right? It works, and you are living proof it can work if we as a community have the respect.”The speech led to rounds of coughs and throat-clearing rose from the courtroom audience, which was nearly uniformly in favor of the defendants. In the hallway outside immediately after, supporters of the protesters filled the hallway with chants of “No justice, no peace,” “Shame,” and “Free Palestine.”As The Gateway Pundit reported in April 2024, these same radical leftists, part of the so-called “A15” global day of disruption, chained themselves to barrels, blocked all lanes of the Golden Gate Bridge, and held banners screaming “STOP THE WORLD FOR GAZA NOW!” while snarling traffic for miles into Marin County. Police in riot gear eventually cut them loose. We also reported on the outrageous initial release of more than two dozen of these anti-Israel radicals with no charges at the time, a textbook case of two-tiered justice. As we noted then: “It’s a good thing these people weren’t Trump supporters or pro-life people peacefully praying outside an abortion clinic, or they might be in real trouble.”The DA’s office had to send the case back for more investigation after public pressure mounted. Now, after all this time, the system has produced only misdemeanor convictions for falsely imprisoning American citizens on a major bridge. These protesters didn’t just inconvenience people, they created a serious public safety hazard, blocking first responders and stranding drivers for up to four hours in some cases. The post PARTIAL JUSTICE IN SAN FRANCISCO: Jury Convicts Seven Radical Pro-Hamas Protesters Who Shut Down Golden Gate Bridge in 2024 – But Deadlocks on Felony Conspiracy Charge in Classic Display of Democrat Leniency appeared first on The Gateway Pundit.
