The vibes surrounding Concorde Landed (Sioux Nation) ahead of Naas's five-furlong Saturday opener were particularly strong and Bond Thoroughbred's newcomer showed why with a five-length success to become a TDN Rising Star, Presented by Hagyard.Able to move from rear to the stands' rail with the minimum of effort, the Paddy Twomey-trained 13-8 favourite was in front passing two out and kept piling it on to dismiss Ballydoyle's Snowing (No Nay Never), a half-sister to the high-class Maljoom (Caravaggio) who had the benefit of experience. There was another 1 1/2 lengths back to the Robson De Aguiar-trained debutante Fly Smartly (Mehmas) in third.“She came from the breeze-ups, so she knew a bit more than ours normally do first time out,” jockey Billy Lee said of the €200,000 Tattersalls Ireland Breeze-Up purchase. “She was having a look in front and was quite raw, so it was a good performance. She has plenty of natural speed, but is fairly relaxed and should get six. She's going to York for either the Roses or the Lowther and is a very exciting filly.”Twomey added of the relative of a host of smart Cheveley Park runners including the Horris Hill winner Cupid's Glory (Pursuit Of Love), “It's rare you see Paddy Twomey training a five-length winner first-time out! Billy just said that maybe she has a bit too much speed for the Lowther, but I think she'll be okay.
