He said that Haryana, under the double-engine government, is also reaching new milestones of progress. Addressing public gatherings, he said that the Congress has always followed a policy of making false promises. Congress made commitments to the people only to secure power but failed to implement them after coming to office. The electorate had rejected the Congress even in the municipal elections, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.During programmes organised in Kheri Dabdalan and Gharoli villages of the Ladwa Assembly constituency, the Chief Minister announced Rs. 21 lakh for development works in Kheri Dabdalan and an additional Rs. 21 lakh for the installation of a new tubewell to strengthen the village’s drinking water supply. For Gharoli, he announced Rs. 21 lakh for improving the village’s drainage system and another Rs. 21 lakh for development works.On the occasion, the Chief Minister also assured the village sarpanches that the demands they had placed before him regarding development projects in their respective villages would be fulfilled. He said the government is developing rural areas on the lines of urban centres and that no effort would be spared in ensuring comprehensive development.The Chief Minister said that after assuming office, the government first made dialysis services free of cost for kidney patients in all government hospitals across the state. Similarly, he said, all crops grown by farmers are being procured at the Minimum Support Price (MSP).He further said that the government had fulfilled its promise of providing LPG cylinders at Rs. 500 to eligible women. Under the scheme, the state government has already transferred more than Rs. 300 crore in subsidy directly into the bank accounts of beneficiaries.The Chief Minister said that the government had also honoured its commitment to provide Rs. 2,100 per month to women by making a provision of Rs. 5 crore in its first Budget. He said that under the Deendayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana, Rs. 1,650 crore has so far been transferred into the bank accounts of women beneficiaries. He said that the scheme has now been expanded to include mothers of children who secure more than 80 per cent marks.Super 100 students secure admission to premier institutionsThe Chief Minister said that the Mission Buniyaad programme is currently being implemented in 103 government schools across Haryana, from which students are later selected for the Super 100 programme. He said that this year, 270 students under the Super 100 programme have secured admission to premier institutions, including the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and other leading institutions. He urged parents in rural areas to enrol their children in government schools, stating that the government is providing every necessary facility in these institutions.Nayab Singh Saini also said that under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, 60,000 families in Haryana have benefited from the installation of solar panels. Families with an annual income of less than Rs. 1.80 lakh can apply through the concerned department. The directions were issued during a high-level review meeting held with senior officers of the Tourism Department on late Friday evening.Under the ambitious project, a proposal has been prepared to undertake the restoration, renovation and modernisation of both key tourist destinations at an estimated cost of nearly Rs. 90 crore.
