Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is hoping for a second successful season at Celtic after signing a new one-year contract with the Scottish Premiership champions on Saturday. Oxlade-Chamberlain joined Celtic in February on a short-term deal with the option of a further year, with that clause activated to keep him in Glasgow for another 12 months. The 32-year-old made 12 appearances in all competitions under Martin O'Neill in 2025-26, starting five of those matches, while also scoring two goals. He won the top-flight title as well as the Scottish Cup during his first season at the club, and he is hoping to lift more silverware next year. "I'm delighted to be staying at Celtic for another year," Oxlade-Chamberlain told the club's official website. There has been no update on the future of Kelechi Iheanacho, whose contract at Celtic expired at the end of last season, with Bursaspor reportedly exploring a transfer.
