Following a teaser for a new crossover back in May 2026, Yostar confirmed that both 2B and A2 will be the characters added to Azur Lane for the NieR: Automata crossover during Anime Expo 2026. Official art for both characters was shared. The developer also again reminded people it is selling merchandise from the game and giving away freebies at the con if they stop by Booth SH-2714. The announcements involved brief profiles on social media. Each one will be a six-star Super Rare unit. 2B will be a Light Cruiser. She’ll be voiced by Yui Ishikawa, as usual. A2 will be a Heavy Cruiser. Ayaka Suwa will also return to voice the character. As a note, both actresses already voices other Azur Lane heroines. Ishikawa is USS Enterprise (CV-6) and Suwa plays HMS Arethusa. You can see how both the six-star 2B and A2 NieR: Automata units will look in Azur Lane with the gallery images below. Images via Square Enix and Yostar As for the Anime Expo 2026 Azur Lane booth, there are a few things of note there. Merchandise will be sold. Visiting it or buying something will get you a special postcard designed for the con. A chibi sash is given away if you follow the game on social media. If you have the game on your device and show you reached level 100 or higher, you get a limited edition metal bookmark. Lots of characters from different games and series have shown in in Azur Lane during crossover events. One of the big 2025 ones involved Yumia from Atelier Yumia joining the cast. To Love-Ru characters showed up in-game within the last few years too. The DOAXVV event was so popular that it even led to themed Azur Lane merchandise. Azur Lane is on mobile devices and will get a NieR: Automata crossover with 2B and A2 in the near future. Anime Expo runs July 2-5, 2026. We may earn a commission if you purchase from certain links.
