Qui-Si-Sana Beach in Sliema has been temporarily closed to swimmers after a damaged drainage pipe caused a drainage outage in the area.The update was shared yesterday by the Sliema Local Council, which said the incident occurred after a road works contractor severely damaged a drainage pipe while carrying out water mains works.According to the council, the Water Services Corporation (WSC) is already on site carrying out repairs to restore the damaged infrastructure as quickly as possible.Until the works are completed and the relevant authorities confirm that the water is once again safe for bathing, the public is being urged to avoid swimming at the beach and respect the temporary closure.The Sliema Local Council said it is closely monitoring the situation together with the WSC and the relevant authorities and will issue further updates as soon as more information becomes available.The council also thanked residents and visitors for their patience and cooperation while the essential repair works are underway.Share with someone who swims in the area!•
