Lahaul-Spiti administration is preparing for a potential glacial lake outburst flood. Thirty-two vulnerable locations have been identified along the likely flood path. An early warning system will be installed at Ghepan Lake this month. A Geological Survey of India team will assess the lake and its surroundings. Residents in vulnerable areas are receiving disaster preparedness training.
