Knightbridge left Oxford United back in May, where he had been third-choice keeper throughout his time there. He was brought in as an U21 signing, but there was a nice detail in him being a boyhood Spurs fan. Now, just a few days after securing what must be a dream move, he can call himself part of Tottenham’s official Premier League squad.His footballing educationKnightbridge started playing football when he was five, initially as a defender, before taking up position between the sticks a couple of years later. He joined West Ham United as a seven-year-old and spent more than a decade with the Hammers.Moving his way through the ranks, Knightbridge established himself as a regular for West Ham’s youth sides and was held in high regard. So much so, he was part of a first-team training camp in Scotland under the stewardship of first-team goalkeeping coach, Xavi Valero. He was rewarded with a first professional contract in June 2022 and went out on loan to Harrow Borough.In his final season, he made the first-team bench three times, all coming in the Europa League. He was released in the summer of 2024, joining Oxford United with the aim of becoming their number 1. It never really came to pass.
