Nasdaq Ahead of Fed Rate Decision: Market Outlook & Trading StraMicro E-mini Nasdaq-100 Index FuturesCME_MINI:MNQ1!BENJAKOZNasdaq index analysis ahead of the week leading up to the interest rate decision. What we are currently seeing in the Nasdaq is a prolonged period of consolidation. It is shaking the market up and down with high volatility, causing a slight sense of fatigue regarding our portfolio holdings. Those who are active and focus on short-term trading have managed to generate good returns, assuming they trade the range with strong execution. For long-term investors, however, it has been quite a turbulent year. A very significant move is building here, and it appears we are slowly converging toward its completion. On September 16th, the Federal Reserve's interest rate decision will be announced, and whatever the outcome, it is bound to move the market aggressively. Most major catalysts are now behind us—primarily earnings season, which offered insight into whether the market is truly profiting from the AI boom. Meanwhile, geopolitical events remain a wildcard, oil prices are elevated, and the U.S. national debt shows no signs of slowing down. Furthermore, the price action's volatility reflects a structure heavily characteristic of "distribution"—meaning aggressive selling at the highs before launching a move downward. I don't feel comfortable being fully invested in this market right now, but I intend to play the range until the very last moment. At present, we are trading within a very clear range that we will work with, using it to take trades on stocks that move tightly with the indexes. Toward the end of the month, things should become clearer, and it is going to get very interesting. So that’s the game plan for the coming week. Keep following along, and together we will deliver great results!
