NQ Weekly Outlook: Mixed & Choppy? | 7–11 SepMicro E-mini Nasdaq-100 Index FuturesCME_MINI:MNQ1!thefringetraderThe Fringe Cycles model read for the coming week suggests a more alternating structure, with positive and negative biases switching through the week. The overall expectation is therefore for a potentially mixed and choppy environment, rather than a clean directional move. This outlook is based on the NQ Globex session, not just regular cash-session price action. Each daily bias applies approximately from 18:30 Eastern on the previous evening through 15:30 Eastern on the stated trading day. For evaluation, each daily bias is measured from the 18:30 Eastern opening price using a 2% target, a 1% invalidation threshold, and a 1.5% break-even level. Monday, 7 September: Positive Bias Monday carries a positive bias. With the shortened Labor Day holiday session, liquidity and price movement may be more limited than usual. The Sunday closed-session cycle is also positive, suggesting some early-week strength remains possible. Tuesday, 8 September: Positive Bias Tuesday maintains the positive bias, but also carries a potential change flag, making it an important transition point in the weekly structure. After several consecutive positive cycles, the model suggests watching for a possible shift toward weaker price action later in the session. Wednesday, 9 September: Negative Bias The model shifts to a negative bias on Wednesday, introducing the first negative daily expectation of the week. Thursday, 10 September: Positive Bias Thursday flips back to a positive bias, reinforcing the alternating and potentially choppy character of the weekly structure. Friday, 11 September: Negative Bias Friday returns to a negative bias. The Saturday closed-session cycle also remains negative, extending the weaker cycle structure beyond the regular trading week and potentially reinforcing Friday’s negative bias.
