Allowed to stretch that lead out a touch onto the backstretch, the 7-2 second was unhurried under Jose Lezcano, pacing the maidens through a :24.76 opening quarter and slowing it down further still to a :51.20 half-mile as Related Party continued to sit just off his flank.The top two came onto equal turns as they swung past the quarter pole and dueled the length of the stretch in a blur of red and white silks with Pass On By prevailing narrowly in a final time of 1:44.95.First-time starter Stock Rising (Flightline), who was a chilly 8-1 on the board, came roaring home in the Resolute Racing colors to be a solo third.This was trainer Shug McGaughey's second maiden winner of the afternoon after he unveiled the impressive 'TDN Rising Star' U.
