Speaking to football.london, following the game, De Zerbi highlighted four players who he believes had a good match for Spurs. He said: “Great game, Bentancur. Tonali, Gallagher, VDV great game. I am sorry because Savio and Destiny in that moment I think they could play something more than 60 minutes but there was a plan with the medical staff not to take risks and I cannot decide like the pitch says.”Rodrigo Bentancur shines in improved displayRodrigo Bentancur was really a top performer against Forest and was arguably the best player on the pitch for Tottenham. The Uruguayan put in an underrated performance in the middle of the park. It certainly was nothing extremely flashy, but the experienced midfielder was tidy in midfield and did the simple things well.His passes were not elaborate but were often released at the right time, helping to keep the ball moving in midfield.
