Dave Allen is hoping to have his no-contest with Thomas Carty overturned after their heavyweight clash ended dramatically. Carty appeared to fall awkwardly and was tended to by medics at ringside, while a flabbergasted Allen watched on in disbelief.Eventually, Carty made his way back to his feet and walked gingerly back to his dressing room.After much deliberation, referee Emile Tiedt declared the fight a no-contest, to the dismay of Allen, who now intends to take his case to the British Boxing Board of Control.Dave Allen wants no-contest overturned to a win“It is a no-contest. I’m not aiming for the back of anyone’s head ever, but I am aiming about here [the ear]. “It wasn’t a big shot; I tried to clip him round the ear as I always do, and he’s turned his head into it.
