Bikers from across Malta will take to the road later this month for a special ride raising awareness about mental health and suicide prevention.Richmond Foundation is teaming up with the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) Malta Chapter for Bike It for Richmond, taking place on Sunday 13th September. The event will begin at Mount Carmel Hospital in Attard, with participants gathering from 9am before setting off at 10am for a scenic ride towards Għajn Tuffieħa.And you certainly don’t need a Harley to take part, with all types of motorcycles and riders welcome to join the ride. The initiative aims to get people talking about mental health while showing solidarity with those who may be struggling in silence.Organisers are placing particular emphasis on men’s mental health, highlighting how men can often find it especially difficult to reach out and ask for support when they need it.Richmond Foundation said the partnership with H.O.G. Malta Chapter is intended to create a visible “show of solidarity and community” while encouraging more open conversations surrounding mental health. The initiative is also being supported by Transport Malta and Mental Health Services. So if you’re a biker looking to hit the road for an important cause, mark Sunday 13th September in your calendar. Will you be joining the ride?•
