By Mulengera ReportersOn Monday morning, Kampala Metropolitan Affairs Minister Minsa Kabanda drove to PLU National Chairman’s offices at Nakasero where she declared total support for Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s 2031 Presidential bid. Minsa, who skipped the Monday Cabinet meeting in order to be at PLU, called upon fellow Ministers to stop fearing that becoming openly associated with the MK universe can annoy President Museveni and his wife Janet-and thereby bring them trouble. She implied that there are fellow Ministers who are still lukewarm because they fallaciously think that embracing MK would amount to betraying Gen Museveni, the sitting President, at whose pleasure they are currently serving in Cabinet. Minsa explained that there is no way the President or Janet can get annoyed with a Minister for merely loving and supporting their son Gen MK. She added that this MK matter was tabled by Ministers before both Yoweri and Janet Museveni during a recent Cabinet retreat at Kyankwanzi and the duo positively clarified. She said that Janet, who is their fellow Cabinet Minister, made it clear that she too supports the politics of Gen MK which must culminate into the country’s CDF becoming President in 2031. This revelation on Janet contradicts the last week Observer newspaper reporting which indicated that the First Lady would be more comfortable with Odrek Rwabwogo coming after Museveni has bowed out. Other first family members behind Gen MK include businessman Barnabas Taremwa, who recently authored an anti-Rwabwogo missive and Gen Salim Saleh whose endorsement of Gen MK was referenced in the newspaper’s last week reporting. Minsa Kabanda was tasked with leading the MK endorsement process in all the Kampala Metropolitan Area districts of Kampala, Wakiso and Mukono. David Kabanda, who serves as Gen MK’s Executive Assistant, welcomed Minsa Kabanda and saluted her for her courage and clarity regarding where she stands on the 2031 political question. David Kabanda revealed that Minsa Kabanda has been tasked with organizing a mammoth MK endorsement rally for Greater Kampala which will be held at Kololo Independence Grounds in December. Minsa, who famously won the Kampala Central MP seat for the Movement for the first time since 2006, is also being considered to lead the PLU overall political mobilization in Buganda as the League prepares to market MK to Ugandans for the purposes of 2031. Minsa Kabanda was given heaps of MK endorsement books, with David Kabanda requiring her to make sure each and every village or cell of Kampala is covered with MK endorsement forms. She came with a large crowd of youths and women mobilizers from her Kampala Division which she represents as MP. Minsa Kabanda introduced the different groups of mobilizers to Kabanda, who was flanked by Michael Mawanda, assuring them that these are the ones she is going to use to overwhelm the opposition and secure a win for Gen MK in Kampala come 2031.Her sister Asia Nabisere, the PDM Coordinator for Kampala, was also present and was cheered by the hundreds of supporters as the dangerous substitute politician the ruling NRM party will be fronting to finish off Kampala Woman MP Shamim Malende come 2031.
