Mykhaylo Mudryk made the bench after being signed on loan from Chelsea last week.Credit: @thefrederikkejensen / InstagramFirst half: Spurs 0-0 Nottingham ForestIt was a stop-start opening for both teams, who were looking for their first Premier League win, but Tottenham were the better side overall in terms of attacking threat as they created 2 big chances compared to Forest’s 1.The first of those came 20 minutes in when Pedro Porro found Omar Marmoush’s run through the centre of the park with a brilliant curving long ball, but the Egyptian scuffed his shot just past the left-hand post with only the goalkeeper to beat.Morgan Gibbs-White squandered two efforts before the break; first firing an effort well over from the edge of the Spurs box before being denied by Antonin Kinsky in a one-on-one situation, although the flag went up after the save.Second half: Spurs 0-0 Nottingham ForestCaptain Micky van de Ven had an incredible game throughout, playing a big part in helping Spurs keep the clean sheet with his recovery runs, but he also came close to scoring as well, heading just wide from a corner.It could have been a huge calamity for Spurs four minutes past the hour mark when Gibbs-White chipped Kinsky, with the ball bouncing towards an empty net. Sandro Tonali made a mess of a clearance on the goal line before Neco Williams eventually forced it over. However, VAR reviewed the footage and ruled that Williams had handled the ball, disallowing the goal.Kinsky also deserves a shoutout for his distribution, launching a long ball into Marmoush’s path to start a promising counter-attack.
