I get why people want to make fun of this but I truly feel heartbroken for older people who need to work…. I remember walking into a roadside service station it had like an Arby’s and a burger king and stuff, and behind the counter of the Arby’s was this 75 year old man who looked so lost and overwhelmed and you just know there is no way he would be doing that job if he didn’t need the money. That’s a really sad situation. I employ 27 people, 3 of them are retirees who are supporting their adult children. I try to take it so easy on them and give them the easiest days I can. They’ve put in their time. They still need to earn their paycheque but I’m not gonna go hard on them either.
