A large number of girls and women participated in the Women’s Promo run through a route that passed before historical monuments like the Gol Gumbaz. They wore ethnic and traditional dresses. Saroja from Brahmakumari Ishwariya Vishvavidyalaya gave the vow for freedom from addiction and conducted a brief meditation session. Many Brahmakumaris and elderly women also ran.Dr. Kallur said that it was a wonderful initiative to involve women in such activities.“I am very happy to see women participating enthusiastically in such a large number. Every one should register now to participate in the Vrikshathon Heritage Run Marathon to be held on December 13,” she said.She promised to participate in the heritage run. I ask all of you to run with confidence,” he said.Savitri Davleshwar entertained them with Zumba dance. Stalls were set up to register for the heritage run on December 13, and a 10% discount was given to those who registered. Women were clicking pictures at selfie stands and posting them on the Vrikshathon social media platforms.
