Vanta (f, 2, Greatest Honour–Goodn'ready, by More Than Ready) stormed to victory in the Del Mar Juvenile Fillies Turf Sunday, becoming the first stakes winner for her freshman sire (by Tapit). The even-money favorite hopped at the break and settled near the back of the strung-out field behind fractions of :22.92 and :47.85. She made rapid progress along the rail approaching the stretch and, tipped out at the top of the lane, the dark bay filly came flying late to win going away by three lengths. She completed the mile in 1:36.30. Blockade (Knicks Go) was second and Ogle (Oscar Performance) was third.Vanta came running late to win her five-furlong debut over the Del Mar lawn July 31.
