Opposition leader Alex Borg has marked one year at the helm of the Nationalist Party, reflecting on what he described as a year of challenges, sacrifices and difficult decisions.Borg said the past year had above all brought him closer to thousands of Maltese and Gozitans who shared their hopes, concerns and dreams with him.“Every day in this responsibility reminds me that leadership is not a privilege, but a promise to serve,” he wrote.He pledged to continue listening, working and fighting for what he believes in, “even when the road is difficult”.Borg thanked his family, colleagues within the PN and those who have supported him, while also thanking his critics, saying their criticism helps him grow and become a better leader.“We still have a lot to do.
