Ben Shalom let loose at Adam Catterall in a wild rant as he slammed the rise of Zuffa Boxing.Dana White‘s newly launched promotion is causing a stir in the sport, challenging the traditional promoters such as Eddie Hearn, Frank Warren and many more.White is causing quite the stir in boxing, and Shalom wants his Zuffa label to be sanctionedGettyThe venture, powered by Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh, is aiming to monopolise the sport and replicate the commercial success that White has built in MMA with the UFC.Some of the sport’s biggest stars are choosing to sign with the fast-rising banner including Shakur Stevenson and Conor Benn.BOXXER promoter Shalom has taken particular issue to Zuffa’s new presence in the sport.He is plotting a lawsuit against the new promotion on allegations that they signed and promoted fighters whom were still under contract with his promotion.And now in a no-holds-barred rant to talkSPORT, he has furiously slammed the outfit.Shalom even went as far as suggesting fighters who sign with them should have their licences revoked.“I think this is very similar to Infantino and the World Cup, as they are trying to change the fabrics of the sport,” he said during an interview to discuss Callum Simpson and Troy Williamson’s rematch this Saturday night live on talkSPORT.“When you have guys who want to rip up the script on titles, bodies and not play within the rules you have a big problem.“We’ve seen it with the UFC and the anti-trust lawsuit, we now have situations where the sport is being ripped up.“In my opinion those who govern the sport need to get a grip of this, they are signing a death wish.“I think they need to sit down and consider taking the licenses from fighters who box on them shows.
