GTA 6’s next trailer is coming soon, but you’ll need Netflix to watch it first

Wait 5 sec.

The marketing push for Grand Theft Auto 6 is finally beginning. Soon. Rockstar Games revealed today that “An Extended Look” at GTA 6 will premiere on Netflix, of all places, in three weeks time. The presumed first look at gameplay and more will stream on the service on Aug. 27, so good luck to their servers. Screenshot by Destructoid Fans have been waiting on a third trailer for GTA 6 for over a year now, and it’s finally coming. But it appears Rockstar and Netflix came to a deal (presumably a pricy one) to bring it to the streaming service as opposed to the developer dropping a YouTube video. Navigating to the Netflix page for the showcase teases “an extended look at GTA 6, the next evolution in the groundbreaking Grand Theft Auto series,” along with some new art of protagonists Jason and Lucia. A full Netflix presentation is definitely a new spin when it comes to marketing video games. But if any title warrants that sort of pomp and circumstance, it’s GTA 6, the long-anticipated sequel to the best-selling game of all time that launched 13 years ago now. It’s high time to return to the world of GTA. With a little more than three months until the game launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, we still have not seen any actual gameplay footage beyond what’s been included in previous trailers. Hopefully this Netflix special will bring it all to our eyes along with some new story details, because the game is still very much a mystery up until now. I have a feeling there will be plenty to watch and dissect over the coming months, though. Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look premieres on Netflix on Aug. 27 at 2pm CT, and will be available on the Rockstar Games YouTube and the GTA 6 website later that day at 8pm CT.0The post GTA 6’s next trailer is coming soon, but you’ll need Netflix to watch it first appeared first on Destructoid.
