With more than a decade riding in the U.S., primarily in the Mid-Atlantic, jockey Mychel Sanchez recorded the 2,000th victory of his North American career Thursday at Colonial Downs when he won the last race aboard Princess Summer (Mastery), a 12-1 Mike Maker trainee.Sanchez, who has earned nearly $70 million in purses, began Thursday with 1,998 career wins, but also won Colonial's first race with Call Me Andy (Midshipman) for trainer Jamie Ness.
