EOTECH announced a major sale of 14,000 units of its OGL (On-Gun Laser) systems, holographic weapon sights, and compatible magnifiers to the U.S. Army through rapid-acquisition Transformation in Contact (TiC) buys. The delivery supports the PAE (Portfolio Acquisition Executives) Maneuver Ground portfolio's surrogate optics project, which is evaluating advanced sighting solutions across the M7 rifle, XM8 Carbine, and M250 Automatic Rifle platforms. The surrogate optics initiative sits at the heart of the Army's accelerated acquisition strategy. Rather than locking into a single optics specification before real-world soldier feedback arrives, the Army is using TiC buys to rapidly field multiple competing technologies, gather operational data, and information about future requirements. EOTECH's portfolio, combining passive holographic sights with active laser aiming and magnification options, should give soldiers day/night capability and flexible engagement options across the platforms being evaluated. The OGL (On-Gun Laser) brings visible and infrared laser performance to the package, solving a persistent problem in many military operations: the need for aiming systems that work in both daylight and with night vision devices. The compatible sight and magnifiers extend engagement range and precision, bridging close-quarters and medium-distance requirements on carbines and automatic rifles. The contract signals EOTECH's expanded role within the Army's modernization pipeline. The company acquired VK Integrated Systems in 2025 to build out situational awareness and integrated weapon systems capability, and earlier acquired EVS for night-vision sensor manufacturing.
