Mother, son killed in car-LCV crash on Khammam-Devarapalli Greenfield Highway - The HinduPublished - August 06, 2026 08:50 pm IST - KHAMMAMA woman and her teenage son were killed, while her husband was injured, in a collision involving their car and an LCV on the newly-opened Khammam-Devarapalli Greenfield National Highway near Dhamsalapuram in Khammam rural mandal on Thursday (August 06).The deceased were identified as 40-year-old P. Sujatha and her 17-year-old son Pavan, residents of Gandhinagar village in Chintakani mandal.According to sources, the family was travelling to Hyderabad for Pavan’s college admission. The car was heading towards Hyderabad when the LCV allegedly crashed into it, leaving the front portion of the vehicle mangled.The impact was so severe that Sujatha and Pavan died on the spot. Sujatha’s husband, Narasimha Rao, who was reportedly driving the car, and the driver of the van sustained multiple injuries.
