Mehbooba Mufti and her daughter Iltija Mufti have been booked by police officials. They are accused of assaulting a police officer during a protest on Tuesday. The protest was held against the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. Iltija Mufti allegedly bit the officer, causing a bleeding injury. Four other PDP leaders were also asked to join the ongoing investigation.
