If the Doctor encountered HG Wells' War of the Worlds happening in 19th century England, do you think he would intervene or would he leave the "Martian" invaders to die from Earth's bacteria as they did in the original 1898 novel?

Wait 5 sec.

Will the Doctor just let it play out, with no interference or intervening whatsoever, as he knows they're foreign to the Earth's ecosystem and can collapse and die with simple bacteria from no internal immunity that is shared. Or, will the Doctor try to take them down himself/herself, using the TARDIS or sonic screwdriver, or even by trying to get as many human civilians away to safety, as possible; and to reduce the collateral damage that humans alone fighting or defending would cause? submitted by /u/Sufficient_Sugar6303 to r/doctorwho [link] [comments]
