UltraSuperConverter - 100 local tools for PDFs, images, video, audio, text and data

Wait 5 sec.

I made UltraSuperConverter, a free Windows app for the file jobs that somehow end up needing five different tools. Convert a folder of HEIC photos, shrink a video for sharing, merge a few PDFs, clean up pasted text, or turn JSON into CSV. It brings 100 tools together, and the conversion processing happens on your computer. GitHub, screenshots and the Windows download: https://github.com/kevindemara/UltraSuperConverter A few things it can do: Images: HEIC conversion, WebP/AVIF exports, resizing, cropping, watermarks and before/after comparisons. Video and audio: compress and trim clips, make GIFs, extract audio and process a batch with a preset. PDFs and documents: merge, split, reorder, compress and watermark PDFs, extract text, and work with Word documents and spreadsheets. Text and data: clean up text, compare changes, convert JSON/CSV/YAML/XML, and format code. Everyday utilities: generate and read QR codes, test regular expressions, calculate checksums, generate passwords, and encrypt or decrypt files with AES-256-GCM. The bit that goes beyond a typical converter is the Workspace. You can save a recipe with up to eight steps, run it against a batch of files in the background, and come back to the results and a conversion report. There’s a file library, job history, cancellation and retry, too. For quicker jobs, Media Studio gives you a conversion queue and presets. The Toolbox lets you search all 100 tools across ten categories, save favourites and jump back to recently used tools. The Windows download is portable: extract the ZIP and open UltraSuperConverter.exe. It launches the interface in your browser, with the processing engine running locally. The runtime and conversion engines are included. It’s for Windows 10/11 x64. The launcher is currently unsigned; the release page includes a SHA-256 checksum and the source is in the repo. submitted by /u/eyeconic89 [link] [comments]
