Each friend gets their own controller, their own picture and the game's sound. They don't need a PS5 or the app: any phone, tablet or computer with a browser works. How it works While you play, press Play Together (the people button on the Play bar). Your friend scans the QR code, opens the link, or types the short code in the app. You tap Allow. On the TV they press PS and pick Quick Play. Done. What your friends get On a phone, the screen is the controller: full screen with sticks, triggers and rumble. Buttons stay out of the way until they press and hold the picture. A real controller over USB/Bluetooth, or the keyboard, works too. The game's sound, with a Mute button. A Wi-Fi blip doesn't cost them their spot: they come back as the same player. Friends who aren't on your couch With Tailscale on your computer, the invite offers a Tailscale link that reaches friends wherever their Tailscale does. WireGuard and other VPNs work too. Nothing gets opened to the internet, no port forwarding. You stay in charge Nobody plays until you Allow them, and you can Remove anyone. Friends' PS and Create buttons are off by default, so a stray press doesn't pull everyone out of the game. When you stop, everyone is told right away. Also new in Remote Play Keyboard & mouse straight to the PS5 (games, the browser, homebrew) Mini player inside the app and picture in picture on Android Go live to YouTube, Twitch, Kick or Facebook from the stream (desktop app) Invite links open in the PS5Upload app (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS) Better translations in all 21 languages and a brand-new website with screenshots Good to know: the game has to support local multiplayer (couch co-op).
