Jamie Carragher has named the one area where Tottenham still have plenty of room to improve despite registering three consecutive wins in the Premier League.Premier League wins have been like London buses for Spurs fans this season. They had to wait almost two months since the start of the season to watch their side pick up their first league victory, and they have subsequently seen two follow very quickly. The home record of late has been absolutely atrocious, so it’s green shoots.”Spurs’ defensive improvements are going under the radarWhile Tottenham had some poor defensive lapses at the start of the season and made a couple of unforced errors, they have looked a lot more solid at the back over recent weeks. In fact, Spurs have only conceded once in their last three games and four goals across their last seven matches.Tottenham have the joint third-highest number of clean sheets this season (4) and have conceded the fourth-lowest xG against in the Premier League (10.1).Then again, Tottenham did start the 2025/26 season well in that regard too, yet still ended up in a relegation scrap. So, there is still plenty of work to do.Statistic2025/262026/27Games99Goals conceded710Goals conceded per game0.781.11Clean sheets44Conceded 2+ goals23Points1712Wins53Draws23Defeats23READ MORE: ‘I’ve seen enough’ – Steven Gerrard makes bold Luca Williams-Barnett claim after Tottenham cameoThe post ‘Tottenham are back, but they still have one important box to tick’ – Jamie Carragher appeared first on Spurs Web.
