I love Jellyfin, let me start with that. I used to be a big Plex supporter and then gradually it just went down the drain. Jellyfin may lack the polish of Plex but it is genuinely the best way to host your own media once you get it set up correctly. My love of self hosting slowly transformed into a desire to help contribute back to the community that I have assimilated into over the last 2 years of my life. All of this being said I just wanted to post here to share a passion project of mine I have been working on for a couple months that is finally available on the iOS App Store. That being Serafin, a brand new Jellyfin client that is designed to feel exactly like an Apple-made application, not a janky third party application, while BEING FREE. These paid for clients, "premium" clients piss me off, why tf are you trying to make money off of something that was always free in the first place... I plan on maintaining this application for years to come, and want to give back to the community the best I can. I don't ever plan on monetizing any aspect of this and truly do want to make this the best possible Apple native Jellyfin client I can.
