Hi everyone, │ │ A small open-source project worth sharing: ytps5 removes YouTube ads and skips sponsor segments in the │ official PS5 video app. It runs as a single ELF through Payload Manager — no second app, no app package │ replacement, no keys or DRM tools. │ │ What it does: │ - Filters in-player, feed and hero ads in memory │ - Skips SponsorBlock segments (categories are selectable) │ - Adds a native "ytps5 Settings" panel inside the app │ - Re-patches every app launch; close the app and nothing is left behind │ │ Verified on: │ - PS5 firmware 8.20, YouTube 01.000.003 (PPSA01652) │ - PS5 firmware 11.40, YouTube 01.000.003 (PPSA01652), confirmed this week │ │ The kernel layer follows the payload SDK from 1.00 to 13.60, so other firmware should attach too. The app- │ side signature can differ between YouTube builds; if it stops at "target not found", the log says so. │ │ Install: │ 1. Download ytps5.elf: https://github.com/MasterShivnath007/ytps5-sponsorblock/releases/latest │ 2. Payload Manager → local payloads → add ytps5.elf │ 3. Run it, wait for "ytps5: waiting for PPSA01652" │ 4. Open YouTube (PPSA01652). It does not contain or modify the YouTube app, Sony keys, DRM/HDCP bypasses, or any │ copyrighted files. You need a jailbroken console and you must already own the app. │ │ The developer is new to PS5 jailbreaking and would genuinely appreciate feedback, logs and corrections.
