Launched my first iOS app 2 days ago. 25 downloads so far. How did you get your first 100 users?

Wait 5 sec.

I launched my first iOS app two days ago, and I'm sitting at around 25 downloads so far. It's a small AI-powered productivity app that I've been building on my own. Building it was the fun part. Figuring out how to get people to discover it is proving to be quite a challenge. I've done a little bit of posting on Reddit and X, and experimented with a small advertising budget, but I don't really have a repeatable way of finding users yet. I'm not looking to drop a link or promote the app here. I'm just curious how other indie developers approached this. For those who've launched an app: How did you go from your first 10–20 downloads to 100? What actually worked for you when you had no audience? Did you focus on Reddit, short-form videos, App Store optimization, paid ads, or something completely different? At what point did you start seeing organic downloads? I'm working on improving the product itself, so ideally I'd love to find ways to grow without spending all my time on marketing. Would really appreciate hearing what worked for you, especially if you were starting from zero. submitted by /u/daredevils97 [link] [comments]
