I’m an indie author looking to commission an artist for my upcoming adult gothic romantasy novel, \*The Blood Crown\*, and potentially future books in the series! I’m looking for someone who specializes in detailed fantasy illustrations, particularly darker, gothic styles. I love rich colors, atmospheric lighting, intricate details, and beautifully illustrated characters. I’m not looking for photorealistic artwork or photo manipulation. I’m hoping to commission: Book cover: A fully illustrated cover for both ebook and print. I have an existing concept that I love and can share as a reference, but I’m open to creative changes! Interior illustrations: Five illustrated act divider pages that complement the cover and overall aesthetic of the book. Promotional artwork: Potentially character portraits, teasers, and other illustrations for social media as the book gets closer to release. I’d love to find an artist I can build a long-term working relationship with, especially since this is the first book in a planned series. \*\*Absolutely no generative AI or AI-assisted artwork, please.\*\* I’m specifically looking for original, human-created illustrations and will need commercial usage rights. Bonus points if you’d be interested in sharing the book or your artwork on your own social media when it’s released! This isn’t a requirement, just something I’d love. My budget is flexible. I paid my original artist over 2500 for the work they did, however it is not what I wanted and it very clearly looks like it is made with AI. Thank you! submitted by /u/w3ttoaster [link] [comments]
