Tottenham Hotspur academy graduate Will Lankshear has been in sensational form for Middlesbrough, scoring 15 goals in just 16 appearances so far this season. Here is every single one of them.Lankshear was sold to the Championship outfit for just £20m in the summer, and looking at his current form, Tottenham may soon find themselves wondering why they did not give the youngster more opportunities in north London. The 21-year-old has already scored 15 goals, making him the leading goalscorer for any English club this season – even ahead of Erling Haaland. His contribution has been central to Middlesbrough’s impressive campaign, with the club sitting two points off the top of the Championship table and having scored more goals than any other side across England’s top four divisions.Tottenham can at least take some comfort from retaining a 20 per cent sell-on clause on their academy graduate. That could prove very valuable if Lankshear maintains this form throughout the season and attracts a big move elsewhere.StatisticWill Lankshear (Middlesbrough)Dominic Solanke (Tottenham)Omar Marmoush (Tottenham)LeagueChampionshipPremier LeaguePremier LeagueAppearances1398Starts1257Minutes played1,048443594Goals1311Assists010Goal involvements1321Goals per 901.120.200.15Minutes per goal81443594It is also difficult to ignore the contrast with Spurs’ current striking options.
