XAUUSD Nov 6: does 4076 hold post-4146? BUY 4055–62 SELL 4138–45GoldOANDA:XAUUSDToan_AlphaDAILY PLAN | XAUUSD Oct 30 plan: BUY hit TP1 4003, missed TP2 4021 (post-entry high 4011.63). No daily plan published 03–05 Nov. Today’s question: does 4076–4082 hold as a floor after the run to 4146, or is it only a pause before giving back the rally? From the 3870.32 low (Oct 30), gold printed higher highs/lows and pushed to 4146.92 (Nov 5). Overnight price pulled back to 4076.295 and is oscillating around 4079–4092. The answer sits in the reaction at 4076–4082 and, if broken, at the 4055–4062 shelf. 1. Market structure • D1: after 3870.32, highs stepped up 3970.31 → 3971.355 → 4070.43 → 4146.92, lows stepped up 3891.26 → 3895.57 → 3919.90 → 4057.83. Short-term D1 trend is up. The large October supply cluster near 4190–4227 is still untested. • H4: impulse on Nov 4–5 from 3919.90 to 4146.92, then the Nov 5 21:00 H4 candle printed low 4076.295; the two early Nov 6 H4 candles eased toward 4079.11. • H1 and M15: lower highs after 4146.92 (4138.275, 4135.98, 4128.13, 4118.125, 4092.52). Price is sitting on 4076–4082. Priority view: prefer BUY on a pullback to 4055–4062 (with the D1 trend). SELL 4138–4145 is counter-trend and needs H1 confirmation. Do not chase between 4085–4125. 2. Key price zones Resistance: 4138–4147: Nov 5 H1/H4 highs (4146.92, 4145.445, 4139.705, 4138.275). 4127–4136: post-high caps (4135.98, 4134.435, 4128.13). 4112–4118: this morning’s Asia highs (4118.125, 4114.505). Support: 4076–4082: overnight / early lows (4076.295, 4081.45, 4079.11). 4055–4062: shelf before the Nov 5 run (4055.365, 4057.83, 4060.355). 4029–4035: Nov 4 evening H4 lows (4029.12, 4030.53). 3. Pattern Impulse then pullback / retest of the breakout area. No clean classic name (triangle, double top, H&S) — the rails are not disciplined enough. H1 is printing lower highs into 4076–4082. The setup favors buyers if H1 holds above 4055 and breaks the nearest lower high of the pullback. It fails if H4 closes below 4043. 4. Main trade scenarios Scenario 1: BUY at 4055–4062 (with trend) • Wait for a pullback into the pre-spike shelf. Trigger: H1 long lower wick, Pin Bar, or bullish engulfing that holds above 4055. • Reference plan: Entry: 4055–4062 Stop Loss: 4043 TP1: 4074 | TP2: 4110 | TP3: 4132 R:R (from mid 4058.5): TP1 1:1.0 | TP2 1:3.3 | TP3 1:4.7 • TP1 sits before the tested 4076 band, TP2 before 4112–4118, TP3 before 4138–4147. SL is below shelf low 4055.365. Scenario 2: SELL at 4138–4145 (COUNTER-trend) • Against the short-term D1 uptrend — only a corrective short from the 4146.92 high. Wait for price into 4138–4145, then H1 must close below the nearest H1 swing low of that bounce before entry. Do not sell on a touch alone. • Reference plan: Entry: 4138–4145 Stop Loss: 4155 TP1: 4121 | TP2: 4098 | TP3: 4085 R:R (from mid 4141.5): TP1 1:1.5 | TP2 1:3.2 | TP3 1:4.2 • TP3 stops before major support 4076–4082. Take partials at TP1 and move stop to breakeven. 5. Alternate — break 4076 first, then react • If H1 closes below 4076 without reaching 4055, do not buy mid-air. Wait for a reaction at 4055–4062 (scenario 1) or stand aside if H4 closes below 4043. 6. Invalidation • H4 close below 4043: BUY scenario invalid; next magnet 4029–4035. • H4 close above 4155: SELL scenario invalid; path opens toward 4190–4227. 7. Conclusion • Bias for Nov 6: lean buy dips, because D1 is HH/HL from 3870. Prefer BUY 4055–4062; treat SELL 4138–4145 only with H1 confirmation. • News: NFP today around 08:30 ET (20:30 Vietnam time). Avoid fresh entries near the release; two-sided sweeps are common. Check the spread before placing orders. • Lesson today: after a vertical H4 impulse, the with-trend entry is usually the new support under the breakout leg, not a chase inside a string of lower highs.
